Osteo Complex™ is a combination of Microcrystalline Hydroxyapatite Complex (MCHC) with various ingredients important for the support of the human skeletal system. Osteo Complex™ also contains quality herbs high in calcium content.

MCHC is considered a complex biological calcium/phosphate salt which is part of the skeletal structure. It is a functional ingredient and used for bone loss due to osteoporosis and restoration of bone density. It also effectively assists in the healing of fractures. In addition, MCHC may reduce the progression of osteoporosis due to aging, dietary insufficiency, and bone loss in metabolic bone diseases.

Calcium is the most abundant mineral in the human body. This mineral represents about 1.5 – 2.0 percent of the body weight. Calcium and magnesium are found in the earth's crust, usually as salts that are fairly insoluble. Calcium and magnesium are needed for nerve, muscle, and tissue functions, particularly in regulating heart, muscle, and nerve contraction and conduction. Vitamin D is needed for calcium (and phosphorus) to be absorbed from the digestive tract. Along with parathyroid hormone and calcitonin secreted by the thyroid, vitamin D helps maintain normal blood levels. Vitamin K is needed for bone formation and blood clotting. In both cases, vitamin K does this by helping the body transport calcium.
